This meticulously maintained 1985 Catalina TR (Tall Rig) is well equipped for weekend or extended cruises on the Chesapeake Bay and beyond. The increased sail area of the tall rig ensures better light-air sailing performance, and the 2002 Yanmar diesel with 39 HP (and a Racor fuel filter) will keep you motoring along at 5.5 knots at 2500 RPM (and 7.5 knots at 3800 RPM). In addition to standard instrumentation (depth sounder, knot meter, wind direction and speed indicator, and a compass) Locomotion comes with a Garmin 4212 Chart Plotter, Garmin HD Radar and a Raymarine ACU 100 Autopilot. The Garmin HD Radar returns can also be overlayed on the chart display.

The accommodations below will make for very comfortable cruising with over six feet of cabin headroom, two cabins, three double berths, one single berth and an enclosed marine head, which has standing headroom and a shower. The spacious galley and u-shaped settee and (drop-down) table on the port side will provide ample room for preparing and enjoying meals after a long day of sailing. On the starboard side there is a nav station as well as additional seating with another drop-down table. From the aft double berth all the way to the v-berth, there is abundant storage space. There is an electric bilge pump as well as a manual bilge pump.

Locomotion comes with a fully battened mainsail and a new furling genoa (as well as an older, spare genoa). There are four self-tailing winches (two for the genoa and two on the cabin top) and an additional winch at the gooseneck. There is also a spinnaker pole, rigging and winches for spinnaker control.

Finally, this beautiful Catalina 36 TR has the tankage to go the distance with 75 gallons of fresh water, a 19-gallon holding tank and a 32-gallon fuel tank. A 35-pound plow anchor, a 10-pund Fortress anchor, two 150-foot rodes and twenty feet of chain are also included. Another nice feature that will help you to keep this fantastic cruiser clean is the washdown pump.
